Disposable water systems are pressurised via the light source using room air. So, especially during a colonoscopy list, the room air becomes contaminated with micro-organisms from all previous patients. This air is then pressurised into the water bottle. IN TESTS 50% OR MORE BOTTLES WERE CONTAMINATED.

Solution

To prevent micro-organisms entering the water, we have introduced a microbiological filter into the cap itself. Tests show that over 24 hours after first use, the water is still bacteria free.
